Culture Norms: The full title of the country is 'The People's Republic of China', and this should be used in all formal communications. Although handshaking may be sufficient, you will most likely be frequently greeted by applause as a sign of welcome. The customary response is to applaud back. In China, the family name is always mentioned first. It is customary to arrive a little early if invited out socially. When dining, guests should wait until their seat is allocated and not begin eating until indicated to do so. If using chopsticks, do not position them upright in your rice bowl as the gesture symbolizes death. Conservative casual wear is generally acceptable everywhere and revealing clothes should be avoided since they may cause offence. It is advisable to also avoid expressing political or religious opinions.

Precautions

Vaccinations: Malaria:  Prophylaxis is recommended for rural areas or doxycycline may be given, except for the western part of Yunnan province along China-Burma border, where mefloquine should not be used due to the risk of mefloquine-resistant malaria. Hepatitis A& B, vaccinations are recommended for all travelers. Typhoid, recommended for travelers who may eat or drink outside major restaurants and hotels.  Yellow fever required for all travelers arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever transmission and for travelers who have been in transit in an airport located in a country with risk of yellow fever transmission, not recommended otherwise. Two doses of MMR vaccinations are recommended for travelers born after 1956 if not previously taken. Japanese encephalitis, for travelers who may spend a month or more in rural areas and for short-term travelers who may spend substantial time outdoors in rural areas, especially after dusk. Rabies vaccination maybe required depending on your trip activities.

Your guide will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel at 08:00 in the morning. Your private Beijing day trip will start with a visit to the remarkable Tiananmen Square, a landmark in the center of the Beijing City. Then, you will be accompanied to walk through the Tiananmen Tower towards to the majestic Forbidden City and have a cultural visit of it. The Forbidden City used to be the imperial palace for about 600 years during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368 - 1911) and is regarded as a remarkable ancient architectural masterpiece of China, as well as the largest and the most complete ancient architectural complex in the world. Lunch will be arranged on your own. You may get some suggestions about good restaurants nearby for lunch from your local professional tour guide In the afternoon, you will continue your private Beijing tour to the Mutianyu Great Wall by a 1.5 hours' ride. Once on top, you can take in the awe-inspiring view of the Great Wall traversing the lush mountains with many watchtowers distributed along the ramparts. The round-way cable car is included for the visit. After the day is completed, your guide will escort you back to you hotel.
