Social Norms: While the official language is Croatian (Hrvatski), you will find that people who work in tourism speak excellent English, plus some Italian and German. Smoking in generally acceptable, but there are restrictions in public buildings and on public transport.

Precautions

Vaccinations: Hepatitis A & B vaccinations are recommended for all travelers. Typhoid vaccine is recommended for travelers who may eat or drink outside major restaurants and hotels. Two doses of MMR vaccinations are recommended for travelers born after 1956 if not previously taken. Rabies vaccination maybe required depending on your trip activities.
