Welcome to Amman! Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport by a SuperCoucou representative for your transfer to your hotel in the Jordanian capital.
Overnight in Amman.
After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, you will start your tour of one of the most ancient and well-known cities in the world - Amman. Here you will visit the Citadel, the Roman ruins, and the Roman theater in the most active center of the city. You will also pass by the King Abdullah Mosque (outside visit), followed by some free time to walk around the city or browse through the Bazaar and craft shops. Next, you will drive to the ancient Roman city of Jerash, nicknamed “the Pompeii of the East.” Here you will walk in the Oval Plaza surrounded by colonnades to see for yourself how the Romans built the earthquake-proof columns. Then you will visit the Byzantine churches with their mosaic-covered floors, enjoy a stroll along Jerash's main road and pass by the Nymphaeum. You will also visit the Roman theater to experience the marvelous acoustics, which serves as the stage of the Jerash music festival which takes place every year.

Amman – Petra
This morning you’ll drive to visit Madaba, one of the most spectacular churches in the world, where you’ll find the Mosaic Map of Jerusalem painted on the floor of the church. Then you’ll climb up Mount Nebo, the place where Moses is believed to be buried, which offers wonderful views of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Jericho on the other bank of the Jordan River. After heading back down the mountain, you’ll drive via Wadi Al Mujeb to Kerak, the capital of the biblical kingdom of Moab. Perched atop a steep hill, Kerak is a predominantly Christian town dominated by the largest and best preserved of the Crusader castles. Finally, you’ll drive to Petra where you will spend the night.

Petra - Amman
On this day, you will explore the ancient Nabatean city of Petra! Walking through the siq, a narrow passage, you will reach the infamous Treasury, or “Al-Khazneh.” Carved in the red-rose rock of the mountains, it is truly a sight to marvel at! You’ll visit the other parts of the city as well, including the Roman theatre, the Palace, the temples and cemeteries of the Nabateans, Byzantines and Romans, and the Temple of Winged Lions. Continuing the hike, you’ll visit the altar and the monastery on the high cliffs of the city. There will also be optional visits to the Archaeological and Nabatean museums in Petra.
