Dive into a mystical trip and explore Russia’s heritage from the capital of Moscow to the historic city of St. Petersburg. The remarkable archives of Moscow will leave you speechless as you wander through the famous Red Square. Artists, philosophers, musicians, and writers have all left a mark on this city at some point. As you take a train to St. Petersburg, you will be in awe as the meticulously designed Peter and Paul Cathedral comes into your line of sight. Works by artists such as Leonardo da Vinci are preserved here, and don’t forget of course the famous Hermitage, one of the oldest and largest museums in existence!

Day 1


Welcome to Russia! Upon arrival, a representative will meet you at the airport for your transfer to your hotel. The rest of your day will be spent at leisure to relax or explore the capital of Russia on your own. On this night, you will attend a briefing by your Tour Director on the fascinating tour that awaits you, followed by a welcome dinner.

Day 2


On this day, you'll go on a tour of Moscow, one of the largest cities in the world, and the symbolic heart and soul of the country. Your sightseeing tour will begin at the historic Red Square, dominated by the colorful St. Basil's Cathedral and the massive red walls of the Kremlin. Next, you will visit the Armory Museum with its impressive collection of Tsarist, Russian, and foreign jewelry, armor, and other interesting artifacts. Your tour will take you past the Moscow University before you stroll through GUM, Russia’s largest department store, continuing on the north bank of the Moskva River, passing by the baroque Novodevichy convent. To conclude your tour, you will visit the popular Arbat shopping district, where you will have time to shop or enjoy lunch on your own.

Day 3


After a delicious breakfast, you will travel north of Moscow to the small town of Sergiyev Posad, former Zagorsk, which was founded in the 14th C. Renowned as a center of ancient Russian art and architecture, it served as a place of pilgrimage and the religious capital of Russia for centuries. Within the old walled city, you will see the fairy-tale blue and golden domes of the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra, after which you will visit one of the most important and beautiful monasteries in Russia. For lunch, you will visit a popular local restaurant before returning to Moscow where you will have the rest of the day at leisure. During the evening, you can also go on an optional tour: "Moscow by night & Subway", to see the metro stations which Stalin called “Palaces for the People.

Day 4

Moscow - St. Petersburg

Today, you will have free time to relax or explore Moscow before heading to the railway station for a 4-hour high-speed Sapsan train ride to St. Petersburg. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel to check in and enjoy a mouthwatering dinner. In the evening, join an optional Russian Folklore show that will surely make your trip more spectacular.

Day 5

St. Petersburg

Spread over 100 islands and linked by over 600 bridges, St. Petersburg is often referred to as the “Venice of the North.”  On this day, you will go on a city tour to visit the Palace Square with the Winter Palace, Senate Square with the statue of Peter the Great, St. Isaac’s Square and Cathedral, Smolny Cathedral, the Aurora Cruiser, the Field of Mars, and Nevsky Prospect. Next, you will visit the Peter and Paul Fortress which was built in 1703 on a small island, followed by a visit to the Peter and Paul Cathedral with its gilded spire which is the highest landmark of the city. Your evening is free but you can join an amazing optional Evening Canal Cruise.

Day 6

St. Petersburg

This morning you will visit the world-famous Hermitage, home to more than four million works of art. Founded in 1764 by Catherine the Great, it ranks among one of the largest and oldest museums of the world. The Hermitage occupies 5 buildings, the largest of which is the Winter Palace, the former residence of Russian Emperors. Here you can admire the world-famous masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, Rembrandt, El Greco, Velazquez, Rubens, Van Dyck, Goya, among other Impressionists. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the city on your own or perhaps you may choose to take an optional tour to Petrodvorets, Peterhof Summer Palace of Peter the Great. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner.

Day 7

St. Petersburg

After breakfast and check-out formalities, it’s time to say goodbye. You will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight. We hope you enjoyed your experience, see you again soon!
