Among its most interesting constructions are the awesome Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon, and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl (“The Feathered Snake”). The Aztec culture that produced this magnificent city originated in the 1stC A.D. and reached its peak between the 3rd and 4th centuries when, mysteriously, they declined and the site was abandoned.
