From Madrid to Berlin, enjoy this 14-day odyssey across Europe. On this journey you will be able to see such historical and cultural monuments as the Monastery of Poblet, Buckingham Palace and the Berlin Wall!

Day 1

Welcome to Madrid! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Your guide will be ready to welcome you and will provide the necessary information. Towards the end of the day, you can get transferred to the Egyptian Debod temple, Plaza de España and Gran Via, a vibrant district where you can dine at your preferred restaurant.

Day 2

Visit to the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas bullring. Stroll through the Retiro Park.  This morning, experience the city on a guided tour, which showcases the city’s vibrant center, the beautiful Plaza May, with its broad and magnificent avenues and its many fountains. Your tour includes a visit to see inside the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas, a fine-looking building. Here you will learn about the tradition of “corridas” in the Bullfighting Museum. The day includes a walking tour of the beautiful Retiro Park, enhanced by the lake and Crystal Palace. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon. At sunset you will be transferred to the Plaza de Oriente in the historic center of Madrid, opposite the Royal Palace.

Day 3

Madrid - Barcelona
You will depart early in the morning from Madrid. As you head towards Aragón, you will pause your journey in Zaragoza. Your guide will join the group to Basílica del Pilar. Directly afterwards, the group will have free time to visit this impressive sanctuary and enjoy the city center. Later, you will make your way to Cataluña and the Monastery of Poblet, which is surrounded by walls in a beautiful setting; this is one of the best preserved medieval monasteries in the world (entrance and guided tour included). You will then go on to the Monastery of Montserrat where we include a ride on the rack train for the fantastic views it gives. Continue to  Barcelona, where you will arrive in the late afternoon.
Note: In the winter months, from November to March (included), due to the shorter days, the Monastery of Poblet will not be visited so that you will be able to reach Montserrat in the daylight

Day 4

Today you will get to know Barcelona, an impressive city right on the Mediterranean Sea. Your visit will include an informative  city tour with a local expert. You will also visit the city’s historic central area with its Gothic neighborhood dating back to the Middle Ages. You will visit the area where the Olympic Games took place. It will be possible to see and photograph La Sagrada Familia basilica; this masterpiece was designed by the architect Gaudí. Subsequently, we include entry tickets to “Poble Espanyol” (meaning “Spanish Village”). This open air architectural museum is situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Be delighted by the best Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and folklore of the different communities in Spain. Free time to explore the city on your own. In the evening we provide  transfer to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya area, where you can select from a great variety of restaurants.

Day 5

Barcelona - Paris
After breakfast, you will go on a transfer to the train station (included). You will travel on a high-speed train. The train is quite comfortable, bringing you on an enjoyable trip through wonderful landscapes. On several occasions your train will reach speeds of around 300 km/h (186 m/h). The train journey will take 6½ hours. Arrival in Paris and transfer to the hotel. At the end of the evening, we will provide a transfer to the Montmartre district. This neighborhood is known for its painters, artists and its cabarets. Sit down to dinner and enjoy a magical night. We will then ascend by funicular to the hill and admire the spectacular view of Paris from the top.
Note: A guide will only travel on the train ride if the group has over 15 passengers

Day 6

A scenic guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards and breathtaking monuments of Paris. You will end the visit at the Eiffel Tower area. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket admission included). End your visit with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose. At sunset, transfer to the “Quartier Latin”, a very picturesque area of the historic center were you can enjoy dinner with a wide variety of international cuisines. Return to hotel.
Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different moment of the day or on Monday

Day 7

Paris - Rouen
You will go to the center of Paris to the area of the Louvre Museum. You will spend your day there at leisure. If you wish, we can accompany you to Benlux, one of the most complete and best-known perfumeries in Paris. At around 17:30 you will leave Paris for Rouen, city museum with its houses with half-timbered walls, narrow streets and gothic churches.

Day 8

Rouen - London
You will set off to the north of France. In Eperlecques, you will visit a huge bunker in the middle of the forest (admission included). From this point, V1 and V2 missiles were fired at the UK. Next, you will leave on a ferry across the English Channel to reach Canterbury, the religious capital of England with a very attractive historic center. Continuation to London. We will provide transfer to Camden, a district famous for having one of the most varied and extravagant street markets in London. Time for dinner in this area with numerous ethnic restaurants (Indian, Thai, Chinese, international, and so on).

Day 9

In the morning, you will go on a comprehensive tour of London, including Westminster, the House of Parliament and the Thames River. You may spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Optionally, we offer the possibility of visiting the Thames Valley and the town of Windsor with its impressive castle. 
In the evening, we will meet at a meeting point in Piccadilly to walk to Leicester Square, China Town and Soho with its amazing atmosphere and its theaters. This transfer can also be organised the day before, once you arrive in London.

Day 10

London - Volendam
After breakfast you will go to the British Museum, one of the oldest and most important museums in the world, where you can see relics from cultures all around the globe. Free time. At around 16:00, you will leave for Colchester, known as the most ancient city in England. You will then board a modern ferry in Harwich and take a night voyage in cabins with bathrooms.
Note: The ferry used has a limited number of cabins. Sometimes we might change the itinerary: You may leave London at 15:00 and take the railway tunnel under the English Channel, and spending the night in Antwerp

Day 11

Volendam - Amsterdam
At around 8:00 in the morning you will reach Holland at Hoek Van Holland and visit Volendam, a very picturesque fishing village. After this, you will travel to Amsterdam where you will go on a panoramic visit of the city to see its narrow canals, the Dam Platz, its official buildings and parks. You will also see the technique of cutting diamonds. Transfer to the red light district, with its liberal values and its many restaurants from all corners of the world.

Day 12

Amsterdam - Berlin
You will leave Amsterdam for Germany. On the way, you will stop at Hamelin, a picturesque German town. Here, many shops and streets are reminiscent of the legend of the town, The Pied Piper of Hamelin written by the Brothers Grimm. You will continue towards Berlin, arriving at the end of the afternoon.

Day 13

Go on a city tour of Berlin. You will visit the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Museum. Ease your way into the local culture with a guided visit of Germany's incredible capital, Berlin. You will visit the historic center, Museum Island, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gates, and the city's magnificent parks. You will continue your visit by stopping at the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Museum. This visit will help you understand the difficult situation the city experienced during the 20thC. Time to explore the city. Enjoy an evening in the lively area of Kantstrasse, a district that offers different types of ethnic restaurants to dine in.
