Make your way across the beautiful country of Indonesia on this amazing 8-day trip from Jakarta to the peaceful city of Yogyakarta. You will get lost in the intricate stories, art and architecture of one of the most impressive civilizations in the world as you learn about their culture and history. With visits to fascinating sites such as the Tangkuban Perahu Crater, the famous Prambanan temple and the stunning views of the Green Canyon – to list a few, this package has something interesting for everyone. So pack your bags and get ready for the trip of a lifetime!

Day 1

Jakarta – Bandung

Welcome to Indonesia! Today you will start your trip to Bandung with a stop in Bogor, nicknamed "the City of Rain" since it rains almost every day (even in the dry season), so make sure you bring an umbrella along. Here you will visit the famed Bogor Botanical Gardens, with several different gardens like the Water Garden (for water and swamp plants), the Mexican Garden (dedicated to desert plants) and the Medicine Garden. Afterwards you will visit one of the tea plantations in Puncak, a beautiful mountain pass connecting Bogor to Bandung. Following a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, you will pass by one of the 6 presidential palaces of Indonesia, the Cipanas Palace, before proceeding to Bandung.

Day 2


After an appetizing breakfast, you will go on a full-day tour to explore Bandung. You will first visit Tangkuban Perahu, an active volcano nicknamed “overturned boat,” where you can drive right up to the rim to see the breathtaking views of its smoldering crater. Afterwards you will go to Ciater, a hot spring of sulfured water that is good for healing rheumatism and several skin problems. Before ending the tour, you will have a tasty lunch at a local restaurant followed by a visit to the Angklung Music School Udjo to watch the Angklung Orchestra performance by school children of different ages.

Day 3

Bandung – Tasikmalaya

Today you will go to the town of Garut to visit Kawah Kamojang, a crater located on a volcano called Mount Guntur. Next, you will head to Kampung Naga, a village located in a fertile valley with the sacred Naga forest on one side and the Ciwulan River on the other. Here you will find that the inhabitants live in a tight-knit community by the age-old customs and traditions of their ancestors. After exploring the village, you will head to Tasikmalaya, a city which some call "the City of a Thousand Pesantrens" due to its abundance of Islamic boarding schools.

Day 4

Tasikmalaya - Pangandaran

This morning you will drive to Pangandaran, a picturesque town situated on the southern coast of Java which has become a popular tourist destination because of its well-known surfing beaches. Here you will have time to relax on the beach as you take in the wonderful views of the West Java coast, so do not forget to bring your camera, swimwear and adequate sun protection along!

Day 5


You will start the day with a drive to the village of Cijulang to take a boat and cruise along the emerald waters of the  beautiful Cijulang River. Upon reaching the Green Canyon, which visitors describe as “a piece of heaven on Earth” for its spectacular breathtaking views, you will find waterfalls and caves with stalactites and stalagmites still dripping water. At an additional cost, you could swim in the refreshing cold water (optional) before returning to Pangandaran in the afternoon, where you will have the rest of the day to relax.

Day 6

Pangandaran - Yogyakarta

Get ready to go on a leisurely 6-hour drive heading to your hotel in the peaceful city of Yogyakarta (or Jogja), famous for its cultural heritage and traditional arts. On the way, you will pass the Magelang Regency where you will visit the magnificent 9th C Borobudur Temple (or Barabudur), which is translated into "the Buddhist Monastery on the hill." It is worth noting that this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the largest and most important Buddhist temple in the world!

Day 7


Today you will explore the rich history of Yogyakarta with a visit to Kraton Yogyakarta, the Sultan’s Palace that serves as a cultural center with a museum displaying artifacts of the sultanate. Next, you will learn about the traditional batik industry, which is a time-honored method of dyeing cloth using wax, followed by a visit to Kota Gede, a historic neighborhood known internationally for its impressive silver crafts. Before returning to your hotel, you will visit the 9th C Candi Prambanan (also called Rara Jonggrang), a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is one of the largest Hindu temple sites in Southeast Asia.

In the evening, you may attend an optional Ramayana Dance Performance to soak up more of the rich art and culture of this fascinating area as you enjoy a buffet dinner serving traditional Indonesian cuisine (not included).

Day 8


After breakfast, you will have the morning at leisure to relax or wander around until your transfer to the airport for your flight out.
