From Rome to Naples, enjoy this 10-day odyssey across Europe. On this journey you will be able to see such historical and cultural monuments as the Coliseum and the Greek Valley of the Temples.

Day 1

You will be transferred to the hotel to spend the rest of the day at leisure. You will receive information about the start of the circuit during the afternoon, or you can check the informative panels in the hotel reception area.
Overnight in Rome.

Day 2

In the morning, you will have a scenic tour of the capital, which will be a great introduction to “The Eternal City”. You will visit the tiny state of the Vatican. Vatican City is the principle center of Catholicsm in the world. You will be able to visit St. Peter’s Basilica. Also included in the tour is an admission to the Roman Coliseum, the landmark of Rome. This impressive construction dates back 2,000 years and will transport you back in time so that you can learn about ancient society in the Roman Empire. In the evening you will be transported to the Via Cavour area, where you will find restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese, and international food.

Day 3

Free day in the eternal city. Today will be an opportunity to visit one of the oldest cities in Europe.

Day 4

Rome - Salerno
You will have an early start in Rome to travel to the south of Italy. You will pass through Naples where you will embark on a journey to the Island of Capri (boat ticket included). If you wish, you can go to the Blue Grotto or take a trip on the cable car to Capri capital. After lunch, you will board once more and continue to Sorrento, a town full of charm and tourist life at the foot of the cliff. You will then continue to the Gulf of Salerno.

Day 5

Salerno - Taormina
You will travel to the southern coast of ¨the boot¨, where you will come across attractive southern Italian scenery as you cross the Cilento National Park. You will arrive in Paola. At the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea, you will visit the sanctuary of St Francis of Paola and have some free time for lunch at its pretty historic center. You will go on your way to Villa San Giovanni where you will take a short ferry to the island of Sicily.  Arrival in Messina where you will have time for a stroll and to visit the cathedral before continuing to Taormina.

Day 6

At the foot of the Etna volcano, the very beautiful city of Taormina was defined by Churchill as the prettiest place on earth. Time to stroll around the ancient city center, with a Greek theater overlooking unforgettable scenery. You can also enjoy the beach.

Day 7

Taormina - Agrigento
You will travel to Syracuse, a city which for a time rivalled Athens and Rome for its power and splendor. Time to visit its magnificent historic center. After lunch we go on to Noto, a small city that seems to have stopped in time, the Baroque jewel of Sicily. You will carry on towards Agrigento. In the coach, you will be able to see the magnificent temple complex light up.

Day 8

Agrigento - Palermo
With a local guide, you will visit the Valley of the Temples, an impressive archaeological site considered the most complete complex of Greek temples (ticket not included). You wll travel to Marsala, a historic city with a lot of atmosphere and a famous wine. You will go on around the Marsala salt marshes to Erice, a very picturesque Phoenician town overlooking the sea. You will then continue to Palermo.

Day 9

Palermo - Naples
After breakfast, go on a tour of Palermo. The Sicilian capital is a city full of contrasts where you will hear stories of Arabs, Normans and the splendor of the Baroque period. The city stands out for the Palace of the Normans with its Palatine Chapel and Cathedral. In the afternoon, we include a transfer to the beautiful village of Monreale (now an outlying district of Palermo). Return to Palermo. At the end of the afternoon you will board a modern night ferry. Accommodation in double cabins with bathroom for your overnight cruise to Naples.

Day 10

Arrival to Naples in the early morning. From there you will continue to Pompeii where a local guide can help you admire the remains of this Romen city that was covered by the ashes of the Vesuvius (entrance not included). After lunch, continue to Cassino where you will get to see its immense abbey. Spend some time at leisure in the Polish Cemetery, which stands in tribute to those who died in one of the deadlist battles in World War II. Continue to Rome for the end of the tour.
