From Madrid to Prague, enjoy this 23-day odyssey across Europe. On this journey you will be able to see such historical and cultural monuments as the Eiffel Tower, the Coliseum and the Prague Castle!

Day 1

Welcome to Madrid! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Your guide will be ready to welcome you and will provide the necessary information. Towards the end of the day, you can get transferred to the Egyptian Debod temple, Plaza de España and Gran Via, a vibrant district where you can dine at your preferred restaurant.

Day 2

This morning, experience the city on a guided tour, which showcases the city’s vibrant center, the beautiful Plaza May, with its broad and magnificent avenues and its many fountains. Your tour includes a visit to see inside the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas, a fine-looking building. Here you will learn about the tradition of “corridas” in the Bullfighting Museum. The day includes a walking tour of the beautiful Retiro Park, enhanced by the lake and Crystal Palace. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon. At sunset you will be transferred to the Plaza de Oriente in the historic center of Madrid, opposite the Royal Palace.

Day 3

Madrid - Barcelona
You will depart early in the morning from Madrid. As you head towards Aragón, you will pause your journey in Zaragoza. Your guide will join the group to Basílica del Pilar. Directly afterwards, the group will have free time to visit this impressive sanctuary and enjoy the city center. Later, you will make your way to Cataluña and the Monastery of Poblet, which is surrounded by walls in a beautiful setting; this is one of the best preserved medieval monasteries in the world (entrance and guided tour included). You will then go on to the Monastery of Montserrat where we include a ride on the rack train for the fantastic views it gives. Continue to  Barcelona, where you will arrive in the late afternoon.
Note: In the winter months, from November to March (included), due to the shorter days, the Monastery of Poblet will not be visited so that you will be able to reach Montserrat in the daylight

Day 4

Today you will get to know Barcelona, an impressive city right on the Mediterranean Sea. Your visit will include an informative  city tour with a local expert. You will also visit the city’s historic central area with its Gothic neighborhood dating back to the Middle Ages. You will visit the area where the Olympic Games took place. It will be possible to see and photograph La Sagrada Familia basilica; this masterpiece was designed by the architect Gaudí. Subsequently, we include entry tickets to “Poble Espanyol” (meaning “Spanish Village”). This open air architectural museum is situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Be delighted by the best Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and folklore of the different communities in Spain. Free time to explore the city on your own. In the evening we provide  transfer to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya area, where you can select from a great variety of restaurants.

Day 5

Barcelona - Paris
After breakfast, you will go on a transfer to the train station (included). You will travel on a high-speed train. The train is quite comfortable, bringing you on an enjoyable trip through wonderful landscapes. On several occasions your train will reach speeds of around 300 km/h (186 m/h). The train journey will take 6½ hours. Arrival in Paris and transfer to the hotel. At the end of the evening, we will provide a transfer to the Montmartre district. This neighborhood is known for its painters, artists and its cabarets. Sit down to dinner and enjoy a magical night. We will then ascend by funicular to the hill and admire the spectacular view of Paris from the top.
Note: A guide will only travel on the train ride if the group has over 15 passengers

Day 6

A scenic guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards and breathtaking monuments of Paris. You will end the visit at the Eiffel Tower area. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket admission included). End your visit with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose. At sunset, transfer to the “Quartier Latin”, a very picturesque area of the historic center were you can enjoy dinner with a wide variety of international cuisines. Return to hotel.
Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different moment of the day or on Monday

Day 7

You will go to the center of Paris to the area of the Louvre Museum. You will spend your day there at leisure. If you wish, we can accompany you to Benlux, one of the most complete and best-known perfumeries in Paris.  You may also accompany us on an optional excursion to Disneyland Paris.

Day 8

Paris - Lyon
You will travel to the center of France where you will find the Burgundy, famous for its wines. You will stop in Noyers, a small medieval town known to be one of the prettiest places in France.  Afterwards you will visit Beaune in the center of Burgundy where its streets are full of flowers; its hospice and its wine museum will create many memories. You will then arrive in the afternoon at Lyon, the capital of Galllia - a former province of the Roman Empire - on the banks of the river Rhine; its historic center has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The rest of the day will be spent at leisure.

Day 9

Lyon - Zurich
You will travel to Switzerland, where you will arrive at Geneva. With your guide, you will go to the Palais des Nations, the United Nations headquarters in Europe. You will then go to the beautiful “Jardin Anglais” with its flower clock, and admire the “Jet d’Eau”, the tallest fountain in Europe. After lunch, you will continue through Switzerland passing the beautiful Lake Leman and Lake Neuchatel.
Note: Depending on the number of travelers from Geneva to Zürich, this trip might be done by train

Day 10

With your guide, you will stroll through the most populated city of Switzerland, the financial and cultural capital of the country. The city of banks has twice been declared the city with the best quality of life in the world. Afterwards, you will board a boat for a trip lasting almost two hours on Zurich Lake. The boat will make brief stops, allowing you to admire the villages along the way. You will be dropped off in Rapperswil, a small and highly picturesque village overlooked by its medieval castle. You will return to Zurich by train, and will see the efficiency and punctuality of the Swiss Railways. Enjoy an evening in the historic center, next to the lake, where you can dine at a restaurant of your choice.

Day 11

Today’s stage has beautiful landscapes with high mountains and lakes. Breathtaking scenery in the region of Interlaken. Grindelwald where you will have time for a coffee before taking the cable car (ticket included) up to Grindelwald. You will walk along the path (30 minutes) in which you shall be able to take the “footbridge over the empty” among the fantastic scenery of glaciers around us. Lunch included (vegetarian option available). Afterwards, you will continue to Lucerne, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. Time at the end of the day to explore the city and dine before returning to the hotel in Zurich.

Day 12

Zurich - Milán
You will travel to Burglen, the tiny village where William Tell was born. Here, you will see the chapel of the 16thC with paintings illustrating William Tell's life. You will continue to Lugano, the cosmopolitan capital of the Italian Switzerland with its beautiful lake. Afterwards, following the shores of the lake, you will reach the enchanting little town of Morcote, with its houses made of stone and covered with flowers. You will then arrive in Milan where your guide will take you to the impressive Duomo Square. There will be time to dine at the Porta Venecia (Port of Venice) where an outstanding variety of restaurants can be found to delight your palate.

Day 13

Milan - Rome
Spend some time in Milan, where you can see its great cathedral and the galleries in the center. Then, you will continue towards Pisa. On a little tourist train you will travel to the Piazza Dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), where there will be time to admire one of the most alluring and beautiful art complexes in Italy, including the well-known Leaning Tower of Pisa. Then, you will continue to Rome, arriving at the end of the afternoon.

Day 14

In the morning, you will have a scenic tour of the capital, which will be a great introduction to “The Eternal City”. You will visit the tiny state of the Vatican. Vatican City is the principle center of Catholicsm in the world. You will be able to visit St. Peter’s Basilica. Also included in the tour is an admission to the Roman Coliseum, the landmark of Rome. This impressive construction dates back 2,000 years and will transport you back in time so that you can learn about ancient society in the Roman Empire. In the evening you will be transported to the Via Cavour area, where you will find restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese, and international food.

Day 15

Rome - Florence
You will leave Rome and head north. This route is graced with beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival in Florence, you will head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo, an impressive site in the city. In the evening you will go on a tour with a local expert and walk through the historic center, taking in places such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo and the Piazza della Signoria. This city is truly an outdoor museum. Free time to explore. In the evening, you can dine at your favorite restaurant. In this district you can find restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese, and international food.

Day 16

Florence - Venice
Today you will enjoy stunning mountain landscapes while crossing the Apennine Mountains. Arriving in Venice, you will board a vaporetto to travel around on the canals in the historic center. With a local guide, you will visit the marvellous Plaza de San Marcos and enter the marvellous basilica (entry cost included). Afterwards, you will be able to visit the Murano glass factory city. It is marvellous to see the technique of crystal blowing. Free time.
At the end of the afternoon, you will have the chance to dine at your restaurant of choice in the Mestre area.

Day 17

Venice - Salzburg
You will depart from Venice and travel to Verona. We will provide a shuttle from parking to the historic center. Your guide will instruct you on the places where you will be able to walk in Romeo and Juliet’s city - the city of lovers! Afterwards you will continue the journey between mountains towards Austria. You will arrive at Salzburg, where your guide will accompany you across the most beautiful streets of the historic center, which have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  
Note: In case of few travelers on the trip, the journey from Verona to Salzburg may be done partially by a train

Day 18

Salzburg - Vienna
You will leave Salzburg to reach Vienna at around noon. You will head to the Schönbrunn Palace where visitors can stroll around and enjoy its beautiful gardens. After lunch, you will go on a scenic visit around this impressive city with a local expert. You'll experience its majestic avenues, its palaces and the vibrant city center. In the evening you will go to the City Hall Square to enjoy the lighting and the nightlife in the neighbouring streets, and where you will have time to dine in the restaurant of your choice.

Day 19

Vienna - Budapest
You will depart for Hungary. You will arrive at Budapest around lunchtime. Discover the “Queen of the Danube” on a scenic tour. This city is divided by the Danube River, with historic Buda on one side and cosmopolitan Pest on the opposite bank. You will spend some time at the end of the day in the lively Vaci Ucta area, where there is a wide variety of restaurants available.

Day 20

In the morning, you may go on a boat tour along the Danube River; the views of the city and parliament are impressive. Leisure time after the tour. At the end of the afternoon, there will be time to enjoy dinner in the city and travelers can select their preferred restaurant.

Day 21

Budapest - Prague
You will leave Budapest for Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia and a city alongside the Danube river with an attractive historic center. You will have time to see the city and grab some lunch. Afterwards, you will continue on your way to the Czech Republic, where you will arrive at Prague. At the end of the afternoon, we will provide transportation to take you to the Old Town Square. This central location is full of energy and touristic activities. It’s a marvelous place to acquaint yourselves with Prague.

Day 22

You will be visiting this capital city, which is known as the Baroque jewel of Europe. Your local expert will provide a guided city tour, which will include the most outstanding monuments. During the visit, you will walk through Prague Castle (admission included). Subsequently, you will take a magnificent boat tour along Moldova River. Free time in the afternoon to explore Prague. In the evening, you will enjoy some time off in the historical city center and there will be an opportunity for you to enjoy cuisines from around the world, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian.
