Java is the world’s most populous island, home to 140 million people, running from Sumatra in the West to Bali in the East, the island is the cultural soul of the nation. Splitting the Java Sea and the Indian Ocean with a rugged landmass along the ring of fire, Java traces its influence back through the centuries in its artistry, traditions and architecture. This is a land of fire, stone and spices; home to volcanoes, palaces and Hindu-Buddhist relics that have witnessed the rise and fall of ancient civilizations, sultanates and empires. Take a trip to the gardens of Bogor and visit Bandung. Enjoy the Tangkuban Perahu or upside-down boat and breathtaking view of tea plantation. Travel east by train to see ricefields, rubber and teakwood plantations. View traditional Javanese craftsmanship in action in Yogyakarta, where the Sultan’s Palace represents the capital of Javanese culture. Nearby is Borobudur, the world’s largest Buddhist monument, you will also get to explore the Hindu Temple of Prambanan.

Day 1

Jakarta - Bogor - Bandung

Gather at Alila Hotel Jakarta between in the morning to depart to Bogor. In Bogor, you will visit the city’s well-known Botanical Garden, Kebon Raya. This huge and serene park covers an area of around 80 hectares. Founded in 1817, Kebon Raya is a peaceful arboretum containing streams, fishponds and lotus garden, along with many nurseries, open spaces and a museum. Next, continue to Puncak Pass Mountain Resort (1,600m above sea level), passing through tea plantations on the road to Bandung. Lunch is provided at local restaurant.

Day 2


Following breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a scenic drive through the Lembang hills to the crater of Mount Tangkuban Perahu, an active volcano. Proceed to Sariater, where you can enjoy a short trek through the huge tea plantation and approach the tea factory to see the leaves being processed. After lunch at a local restaurant, head back to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free at your leisure.

children from the surrounding villages.

Day 3

Bandung - Yogyakarta

Following an early breakfast at your hotel, take a train from Bandung to Yogyakarta. A lunch box will be provided on board.
After arriving at your hotel, you will have the afternoon to spend at leisure. You may want to explore the local neighborhood independently: Malioboro Street is a very popular place for locals and tourists alike, with many shops, cafes, performances and attractions.

Day 4


Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then start your tour of the city. You will visit the Kraton and Taman Sari, then witness local handicraft making in action, with craftsmen working on both batik and silver. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After lunch, explore Borobudur Temple, one of the greatest of all ancient architectural monuments. Built in 9C, Borobudur predates Angkor Wat in Cambodia by three centuries.

Day 5

Yogyakarta - Prambanan - Yogyakarta

After breakfast, you will be leaving for Prambanan where you will visit the Hindu Temple Complex of Rara Jongrang, built by King Smaratungga of the Sanjaya Dynasty in 9C. In the Shiva and Brahma temple, a detailed relief of Ramayana is depicted. A relief of Krisnayana can be admired in Wisnu Temple. Visit the magnificent 9C Hindu Temple of Prambanan, then drive back to town or to airport to catch your flight for you next destination.
