Day 1


Welcome to Istanbul, also known as Constantinople and Byzantium! Upon arrival one of our representatives will meet you at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport for your transfer to the hotel. You will have the rest of the day to get acquainted with Istanbul as you explore the city on your own. 

Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2


After a delicious breakfast, you will go on a city tour of Istanbul at 08:30. Your first stop will be at the ancient basilica of St. Sophia, built by Constantine the Great in the 4th C. This church-turned-mosque is one of the architectural marvels of all time! Next on the list will be Topkapi Palace, which served as the residence of Ottoman sultans from the 15th-19th C, housing an exquisite collection of crystals, miniatures, silver, and many artifacts used by the previous sultans and their families.

Next stop on your tour will be the Sultan Ahmet Imperial Mosque; built in the 16th C, it is known as the Blue Mosque because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. You will also visit the Ancient Hippodrome which was the scene of chariot races, with the 3 monuments: the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. After your lunch break, you will head to one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world: the Grand covered Bazaar. In this labyrinth of streets and passages, you will find more than 4,000 shops with each trade having its own area: the goldsmiths’ street, the carpet sellers, Turkish arts and crafts such as hand-painted ceramic plates, hand-honed copperware, brassware and trays, onyx-ware and meerschaum pipes.

Day 3

Istanbul - Cappadocia

Today you will get picked up at 08:30 to go on a magical Bosphorus Cruise by boat along the picturesque waterway separating Europe and Asia! Then you will visit the Spice Bazaar, also known as the Egyptian Bazaar, where the air here is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other conceivable herb and spice. So feasts your senses on the colors, tastes and smells of this enchanting place! You will have a lunch break before heading to the Ataturk Airport for your domestic flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and a wonderful dinner.

Day 4


At 09:30 you will go to explore the incredible volcanic area of Cappadocia, where striking geological formations started millions of years ago. The beautiful horse country of Katpatuka, as the Persians called it, is an unbelievably enchanting strip of land, famous for its arts, including ceramic and carpets. First you will visit the Uçhisar Castle which was built on the highest point in Cappadocia. Next you will go to the Göreme Open Air Museum, famous for its 10th C frescoes describing the life of Jesus Christ and Christian monks. Then you will head to Çavuşin, an abandoned village with old Greek cave houses, followed by lunch at a local restaurant in Avanos, and a pottery workshop to see how this ancient art comes to life. You will also go to Paşabağ to see its famous 3-headed fairy chimneys before attending another workshop where you will see how Cappadocian hand-woven carpets and kilims are made.

Afterwards, you will go to Devrent Valley, also known as Imagination Valley, to see natural rock formations which look like animals. Then you head to a wine shop in Ürgüp for some wine tasting. The last stop of the day will be the Three Beauties, 3 beautiful fairy chimneys with their hats which symbolize Cappadocia.

Day 5

Cappadocia - Istanbul

After breakfast, you will have the day at leisure in Cappadocia before you leave for Kayseri Airport for your domestic flight to Istanbul where this package will come to an end.
