First time in Singapore (Part 2)Published on June 18, 2017
One of the places I visited in Singapore - and absolutely loved - was the Universal Studios theme park on Sentosa Island where I spent a fun-filled day jumping from one ride to the next. The park is divided into different zones like the “Ancient Egypt” zone with its temples, pyramids, obelisks and tombs. This is where I got on the “Revenge of the Mummy” ride which was pretty impressive – especially coming from an Egyptian who’s seen the real deal!
Another Zone was named the “Lost World” which had a “Jurrasic Park Rapids Adventure” ride, but my favorite was the “Waterworld Show” based on a movie starring Kevin Costner. Filled with live performances and incredible stunts by talented actors, this one was a pleasant surprise especially since they really made you feel like you were part of the show. Plus, it started raining during the show, which added some extra dramatic effect.
Then there was the “Far Far Away” zone that’s inspired by Dreamworks' “Shrek” …
Last but definitely not least, I got on one of the most famous attractions in the Universal Studios franchise - the “Transformers" ride. This epic ride combines the best of 2 worlds: a 3-D simulator and a rollercoaster!
