Feast your eyes on the breathtaking views of Esztergom, Visegrád and Szentendre as you sail along the Danube River on this one-of-a-kind tour. Your first stop will be at Esztergom, the former capital which lies across from Slovakia and is the seat of the Catholic Church in Hungary. Here you will visit the largest cathedral in the country - the Esztergom Basilica, which is dedicated to Saint Adalbert and Saint Mary of the Assumption and is the burial place of famous cardinals like József Mindszenty.
Afterwards you will stop at Visegrád, a small castle town where a new fort was constructed in the mid-13th C on top of a hill, offering fascinating panoramic views of the Danube valley. You will have some free time to grab lunch or go on an optional tour of the castle before heading to Szentendre, a picturesque village known for its rich artistic heritage. Here you will go on a walking tour along the cobbled narrow streets and baroque houses, after which you could go on another optional visit to some of the museums such as the famous Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum or the Confectionery Museum with intricately-made marzipan figures. Depending on the season, you could return to Budapest by boat (at an additional coast).
